CPU temps averaged 60 degrees and peaked at 70Īt this point I'm concluding this is basically normal stock behavior. During a Cinebench 23 single core test I scored 2110 pts.CPU temps bounced between 96-100 degrees most of the time 3D Mark Time Spy CPU test peaked at 96 degrees.I changed bios max CPU Power draw to 253W.Another friend using a water loop, peaking at 90 degrees.Īny idea why my CPU is getting so hot so fast? Is it a lemon? Or is this just normal? he's peaking at 85 degrees when running same test. 1 of them using the D15 with 1 fan as well. I have 2 friends who just got the same CPU. Heatsink fan is blowing towards back- bottom left fan is blowing out- bottom middle fan is blowing in- bottom left fan is blowing in- top fans all blowing out- exhaust fan in upper left is blowing out I've repasted & remounted the heatsink 5x trying to get it perfect. The 3080ti has about 2mm of space below the D15. I put the 2nd 140mm fan under the right side of the GPU facing up. I could only fit 1 of the included 140mm fans on the D15, the other one blocked the exhaust fan on my 3080ti. Intel Extreme Tuning utility stress test 5 mins it hits 99-100 degrees and throttles down 10+ times in 3 mins. 3D Mark Time Spy CPU test = 95-100 degrees. It's hitting around 89 degrees in Cyberpunk 2077 on Ultra Ray tracing Psycho with balanced DLSS at 1440p but then coming back down and averaging around 75-80. It doesn't stay at 95+ for a long time it just hits that temp pretty fast at heavy loads then comes back down. ![]() I built a new PC over the weekend using the following hardware and I'm getting ~95-100 degrees on the CPU when running 3d mark time spy (specifically the CPU test).
